About Us
Houndcakes Gourmet Cookies for Dogs was inspired by our fosters and rescues. We adopted many of our fosters while continuing to help our local shelter. With a house full of dogs, their food was getting expensive, so we decided to make it for them. At this time, reports of foreign made dog treats harming pets were increasing in frequency. With that in mind, we started wondering if we could turn their new food into a breakfast, lunch or dinner cookie. After considerable research, experimentation and many taste tests using different ingredients and mixing flavors, Houndcakes Gourmet Cookies for Dogs was born.

Millie was the first to join the team and is the main taste-tester because she is a picky eater. Her amazingly photogenic fuzziness has made her the face of Houndcakes. She is also a master at digging in dirt and hunting for lizards.
PENNY
VP in Charge of Balls
Penny joined the team as a rescue when she was 4 months old. Millie is her best-friend and taught her all about being a good doggo. Penny's main skill is chasing balls and is still working diligently on "Drop it".
PEATLEBUG
VP in Charge of Cuddles

Pete, AKA, PeatleBug, originally joined the team as a foster. His charming personality and perfect snuggles earned him a permanent spot right away. He likes to relax in the middle of the kitchen floor and supervise the cookie making and baking activities.
